Another relationship app is launching a live trivialities quiz display

Scruff, a gay relationship app, is launching a brand new live quiz show, Hosting, that’ll stay inside the app. Shockingly, and genuinely, I’m stunned, this isn’t the first dating app to attempt its hand at a connected quiz show. Quiz Date Live introduced its premise — a live courting display in which players compete for a date — closing month. Scruff’s sport differs in that it’s modeled after HQ Trivia. The questions are more random, and gamers don’t win a period. There could be a $500 prize for each sport, and members can browse who else is playing and both “woof” at them, like a Facebook Poke, or “favorite” them, adding them to a listing of human beings they could need to revisit.

Every display takes region at 9 PM ET and is available in North America at the same time as HQ Trivia. There are three rounds with ten questions each. Players have 10 seconds to answer every question. Scruff has dedicated itself to being an advert-loose platform, so it says there won’t be commercials at some stage in the quiz display. Instead, it generates revenue via its paid courting tier; while creating a quiz show isn’t the most visible product selection for a courting app, it potentially makes Scruff part of the cultural communication if it’s a success. Also, website hosting nightly develops a dependency for daters who might not check the app daily. Scruff must ensure the sport is still an area to satisfy dates.
